Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer for our San Antonio or Austin, Texas team. You will lead electrical design activities and support project management across Commercial, Federal, Data Center and Higher Education facilities.

You will produce detailed drawings and perform field reviews, mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative, hybrid environment. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, 8+ years of experience, NEC/NFPA knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering (power).
• Knowledge and application of NEC and NFPA codes and industry standards.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit; ability to lead design and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leads electrical design activities.
• Supports project managers in scope, schedule, and client expectations.
• Ensures schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
• Communicates design changes effectively.
• Produces single-line diagrams, layouts, cable schedules, and power plans.
• Provides on-site field investigations and construction reviews.
