Job summary

Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing Industry in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Engineering Department. You will ensure the accuracy of electrical project documentation, review schematics, and support design integrity with detailed prints and cross-functional collaboration.

The role involves leading electrical drawing packages, ensuring NEC and internal standards compliance, and supporting production during build and test phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and ability to interpret schematics and prints.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, systems, manufacturing support, or field-based electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and quality of electrical project documentation through schematic/print reviews.
• Lead completion of electrical drawing packages, ensure NEC and internal standards compliance.
• Support production by addressing design questions and resolving issues during build and test phases.
• Collaborate with external engineering leads during handoffs and clarify scope and requirements.
• Assist with assessment and selection of long-lead materials and major electrical equipment to support project schedules.
