Job summary

Kodiak Construction Recruiting seeks an Electrical BIM Designer for a full-time hybrid role in Austin, TX. Build 3D electrical models in Revit from field layouts and coordinate with GCs, MEP trades, and field teams to ensure accurate shop drawings and BIM coordination.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of CAD/BIM experience in commercial construction, proficiency in Revit and Navisworks, and strong drawing-reading abilities. Relocation assistance, full benefits, PTO and holidays offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of CAD/BIM experience in commercial construction
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit production software
• Working experience with Navisworks
• Strong construction drawing/spec reading ability
• Strong organization, accuracy and communication
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Electrical NEC knowledge or electrical field experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build 3D electrical models from field layouts in Revit and Navisworks
• Produce detailed electrical shop drawings
• Perform BIM coordination, clash detection and resolution
• Support GC-led BIM coordination through model sign-off
• Coordinate with field teams, GCs and MEP trade partners
• Produce bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking
• Support Revit templates, details and graphic standards
• Mentor/support Detailers for Senior Designers
