TekWissen LLC is seeking a Powertrain Design Engineer focused on Electric Motors to support North American motor development and integration. The role involves designing and localizing hybrid/electric drive units, coordinating with suppliers and international teams, and ensuring on-time development for client vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience using CAD/CAE; ability to read, interpret and modify drawings.
• Knowledge of DRBFM and DFMEA.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Electrified transaxle/motor design and vehicle integration experience.
• Design knowledge for magnets, coils, e-steels or similar materials.
• Experience collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing and Purchasing to resolve issues.

Responsabilités

• Communicate with suppliers and affiliates; report to Client Motor Corporation (Japan).
• Create/modify hybrid electric motor components and sub-assemblies to requirements.
• Solve problems, issue design specs (3D models, drawings, reports, assembly instructions).
• Integrate electrified drive units into on-vehicle and off-vehicle designs.
• Coordinate development through validation and launch; troubleshoot issues.
• Partner with design engineers in Japan and local suppliers on motor components.
• Participate in design, evaluation, and benchmarking activities locally and internationally.
• Report weekly to management and in Obeya meetings.
