Job summary

CTC is seeking a CW Powertrain Design Engineer - Motor for a contract role in the North American market. The role focuses on supporting motor development, integrating electrified drive units, and collaborating with Japan-based engineers and local suppliers to deliver robust motor components for hybrid and electric transaxles.

The candidate will read and modify 3D models and drawings, apply DRBFM/DFMEA practices, and communicate technical findings through reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience using CAD/CAE and the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings.
• Working knowledge of DRBFM and DFMEA.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support motor development in North America to improve product quality, performance, safety and cost.
• Create and modify design of hybrid electric motor components and sub-assemblies to meet engineering requirements.
• Coordinate development activities up to validation and launch, including problem solving of technical issues.
• Partner with design engineers in Japan and local suppliers for motor components and assembly design.
• Integrate electrified drive units into on-vehicle and off-vehicle designs prioritizing safety and customer appeal.
• Report weekly to management and in related Obeya meetings.
