Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking an experienced Data Loss Prevention Analyst to join a global financial services security team in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid W2 contract role focuses on protecting sensitive enterprise data, validating incidents, and improving DLP processes in a regulated banking technology environment.

You'll work with Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, and Island.io, analyze alerts, generate metrics for leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to strengthen data protection

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data loss prevention, data security, or monitoring/triage.
• Familiarity with Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, Island.io preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and multi-source data.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends across data points.
• Attention to detail and investigative mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across teams.
• Banking/regulated environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from DLP technologies and perform triage.
• Escalate potential data security incidents and support validation.
• Draft playbooks, job aids, and guidance to standardize DLP tasks.
• Provide feedback to teams on DLP policy tuning.
• Prepare DLP program metrics and leadership reports.
• Assist with ad hoc data requests related to DLP operations.
