You will develop and roll out governance policies, translate regulations into practical controls, and collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, risk, legal, and technology teams to protect enterprise data.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in data security governance and information protection.
• Experience in regulated environments such as financial services or banking.
• Strong knowledge of data classification, DLP, encryption, and data lifecycle protection.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks, policy lifecycle management, and regulatory reporting.
• Understanding of IAM and security architecture as they relate to data protection.
• Ability to translate policy language into actionable governance controls.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and executive-presentations skills.
• Ability to coordinate across cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, risk, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development, maintenance, and rollout of data security governance policies and controls.
• Define governance requirements for protecting data across platforms and third-party relationships.
• Assist with data lifecycle handling, retention, encryption, and protection standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, legal, risk, and technology teams to translate policy into controls.
• Support audit requests, regulatory reporting, and governance reporting related to data protection.
• Prepare clear documentation and executive-ready materials explaining data security requirements.
