Zusammenfassung

Xcel Energy is hiring a Masterful Distribution Designer to provide cost-effective, compliant distribution designs for commercial, industrial, and residential customers. The role acts as the primary liaison between customers and the design team, ensuring designs meet standards and schedules.

The position offers a hybrid work model with travel potential and may require after-hours support during emergencies. Advancement paths include Senior/Principal Designer levels within engineering disciplines.

Qualifikationen

• Assoc. Degree in drafting, design, automation, electronics, mechatronics, engineering, GIS or related field.
• In lieu of degree, combination of education and experience in design/drafting, construction, project management, or electronics.
• Knowledge of GIS, design software, work management programs, and related systems desirable.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Design safe operating facilities for new and existing customers per standards.
• Manage projects from initial contact through post-project analysis and coordinate construction work plans.
• Mentor and train Designers; provide direction and teamwork across groups.
• Represent the Company with government officials, contractors, and engineers to provide service to customers.
• Obtain permits and easements; execute contracts in compliance with regulations.
