Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a TT-Distributed Software Engineer to develop and optimize distributed software systems powering AI and HPC clusters. You will work on distributed programming across multiple nodes, using IPC, socket programming, and Tenstorrent’s scalable architectures to advance distributed inference and training infrastructure.

This hybrid role is based out of Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; or Toronto, ON, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and levels.

Qualifications

• Strong C or C++ engineering with systems programming foundations.
• Experience with distributed computing, including IPC, socket programming, and cluster resource coordination.
• Ability to reason about scalability, fault tolerance, and performance across multi-node environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize distributed software systems coordinating computation and communication across AI accelerators and CPUs.
• Design and build distributed APIs enabling data-parallel and tensor-parallel AI workloads.
• Leverage MPI-based technologies to scale programming models across multiple hosts.
• Develop robust systems using IPC and inter-node sockets to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain testing, debugging, profiling, and monitoring tools for large-scale workloads.
