Job summary

Collins Library at the University of Puget Sound seeks an experienced Systems and Resource Discovery Librarian to serve as the primary administrator for Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE, enabling research, teaching, scholarship, and student success.

The role sits within the Resource Management Services team, reporting to the University Librarian and supervising the Acquisitions and Electronic Resources Manager and Electronic Resources Specialist.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science or information science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Experience in a technical services or library systems environment within an academic library.
• Enthusiasm for user-centered continuous improvement of library systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administration for Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE.
• Configure workflows, manage permissions, and maintain system integrity across Alma modules.
• Design and sustain workflows for equitable access to physical and digital collections while complying with IT standards.
• Direct the Primo VE configuration to deliver an excellent user experience and optimize discovery.
