Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Disaster Recovery Analyst in Maryland Heights, MO for hybrid on-site work. The role involves designing and implementing DR strategies, leading testing, and coordinating with IT, infrastructure, and operations to ensure resilience.

Responsibilities include BIA, risk analyses, documentation, and training across business and technical teams. Applicants should have IT disaster recovery or business continuity experience, strong communication, and knowledge of IT

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to present to technical and management audiences.
Knowledge of project management practices and ability to organize teams.
Understanding of a wide range of IT functions and technologies.
Capability to work independently and in teams.
Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with configuration management databases and IT ticketing/digital workflow tools.
Understanding of change management practices and processes.
Preferred: knowledge of communications, cable, and Internet provider industry.
Preferred: DRII/BCI certifications such as CBCP.
Preferred: Fusion Framework or similar BC/DR tools.
Preferred: Cherwell CMDB and IT workflow ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and plan IT DR testing activities, including on-site testing at DR sites.
Conduct business impact analyses on applications and functions.
Identify gaps in DR plans using a risk-management framework.
Collaborate with IT, application, and operations teams to close DR gaps.
Perform risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
Serve as SME for DR proof of concept and technology initiatives.
Advise on DR solution design and efficiency improvements.
Lead meetings for design, problem solving, and task execution.
Contribute to evaluation, selection, and maintenance of IT systems for DR investments.
Plan and manage projects related to IT systems selection, development, and installation.
Analyze critical functions and define disaster scenario scope and impact.
Produce standardized documentation per policies and procedures.
Lead BC/DR training and awareness across stakeholders.
