Job summary

Valley Youth House in central Pennsylvania seeks a Director of Central Region Advancement & Government Relations to lead major gifts, annual giving, and policy advocacy efforts. This role builds relationships with donors, United Way partners, and government officials to advance the organization's mission.

The position requires 5-8+ years in advocacy and fundraising, exceptional writing and prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, events, and fundraising programs

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of advocacy, government relations, and professional fundraising experience.
• Excellent writing, organization, research, and independence of judgement.
• Ability to interact with top leadership and elected officials in the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a donor portfolio and major gifts program.
• Manage annual campaigns, capital & endowment efforts, and planned gifts.
• Build relationships with United Way and workplace giving campaigns.
• Oversee special events and ensure cost-effective fundraising performance.
• Advocate for youth-focused policies and represent the agency publicly.
