Job summary

PGIM, the global asset management business of Prudential Financial, seeks a Director for the Quantitative Equity Research team to advance strategic research on security selection and investment processes. You will lead, collaborate with top researchers, and present findings to clients and prospects.

The role emphasizes independence, rigorous methodology, and the ability to integrate diverse data sources, while shaping externally visible research and contributing to global growth in investments.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of research experience in quantitative investing, with deep knowledge of asset pricing.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
• Experience with machine learning, AI, and NLP is highly desirable.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive independent, rigorous research projects focused on new security signals and investment process improvements.
• Identify, source, and integrate novel datasets (stock, industry, macro) to strengthen research.
• Author white papers on emerging ideas and market developments.
• Present research findings to clients and prospects to highlight value and impact.
• Monitor academic and sell-side research to inform work and leverage external expertise.
• Serve as a thought leader delivering creative solutions to complex problems.
