Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Houston is seeking a Hybrid Director of Shared Services to lead Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounting support, standardize processes, and drive efficiency while ensuring compliance and high-quality service across the organization.

You will develop a centralized strategy, partner with department leaders, implement dashboards and KPIs, and guide ERP optimization and automation projects, all while nurturing a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Required)
• Eight years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or shared services (Required)
• Five years of leadership experience leading multi-functional teams (Required)
• Strong financial and analytical acumen
• Advanced understanding of compliance and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Twelve years of progressive experience (Preferred)
• CPP and/or CAPM (Preferred)
• Previous experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments (Preferred)
• Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: craft and execute a shared services strategy that aligns with financial and operational goals.
• Operational Excellence: standardize workflows, eliminate redundancies, and implement best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Service Delivery & Performance Management: establish KPIs, ensure delivery of high-quality services, and implement dashboards to track trends and performance.
• Compliance & Internal Controls: maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and support audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement: forge partnerships with internal leaders and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Team Leadership & Development: lead, mentor, and develop shared services teams, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
• Technology & Transformation: collaborate with IT to enhance automation tools and drive digital transformation initiatives.
