Job summary

Healthcare Realty is seeking a hands-on Director of Data Strategy & Governance to lead the enterprise data lake on Microsoft Fabric in Azure. You will own the platform, mentor developers, and drive data governance for trusted financial reporting and AI initiatives.

The role blends hands‑on development with leadership, overseeing two direct reports and reporting to the VP of Data, AI & Innovation. Hybrid work four days in Nashville and one day remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a numeric field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on data engineering or data platform experience including leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services.
• Strong SQL and Python (including PySpark) production code capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise data lake architecture and governance.
• Lead a small development team and perform hands‑on data work.
• Design pipelines, data transformations, and data models across bronze, silver, gold.
• Establish DevOps practices, data quality, lineage, and access controls.
