Job summary

Ingredion invites a Digital Innovation Intern to join our R&D team for Summer 2027 in Bridgewater, NJ. You will work with formulation scientists and digital leaders to accelerate predictive formulation and digital tools development.

You will build models, automate data capture, and explore AI, LLMs, and agentic methods to extract knowledge, with a focus on practical, scalable solutions and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS/MS in data science, CS, AI, engineering or related field.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Interest in ML, AI, LLMs or agentic approaches.
• Ability to communicate technical results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review literature and emerging technologies for predictive formulation and AI.
• Develop digital tools for data capture and model workflows.
• Build predictive models and virtual experiment tools.
• Explore AI, LLM and agentic approaches for knowledge extraction.
• Design reusable code and write technical docs.
• Summarize progress and present results at internship end.
