Job summary

Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer in Huntsville, AL to bridge cloud infrastructure, on-prem training environments, and cybersecurity operations. You will own general systems administration, AD management, and enterprise MDM, while advancing AWS initiatives and secure classroom networks.

You will translate security frameworks into actionable controls to keep systems resilient and compliant with federal mandates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Active Directory and MDM.
• Experience with AWS (EC2, networking, pipelines) and local classroom networks.
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks, NIST 800-171/800-53.
• Experience using vulnerability tools like ACAS and applying DISA STIGs.
• Proven track record engineering security solutions with patches and endpoint policies.
• Bachelor's degree and active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure, local classroom administration, security operations, endpoint management, and compliance tracking.
• Architect, deploy, and manage AWS resources including EC2 and subnets.
• Provision EC2s and build automated deployment pipelines.
• Support on-premises hardware and localized training systems security.
• Manage AD, user/computer accounts, and identity system integrations with AWS.
• Oversee MDM for ERDs, tablets, and remote endpoints with policy enforcement.
• Perform vulnerability management, hardening across cloud and local systems.
• Run ACAS scans, analyze results, remediate findings across environments.
• Draft and maintain system documentation aligned with NIST 800-171/800-53.
