Job summary

The Opportunity Network (OppNet) is seeking a Development Operations and Donor Engagement Manager in New York. This role leads day-to-day fundraising operations, donor engagement, and volunteer programs to advance OppNet’s mission.

You will collaborate with Programs, Communications, Finance and Executive Leadership to implement strong fundraising practices, steward donor relationships, and ensure data-driven processes support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of nonprofit fundraising/Development experience.
• Experience engaging and stewarding donors across the lifecycle.
• Experience using a CRM to manage donor information and fundraising operations. Salesforce preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue administration across OppNet’s fundraising streams, ensuring gifts, pledges, payments and donor records are accurate.
• Own pledge administration and follow-up, tracking outstanding pledges and upcoming payments.
• Manage donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and other gift-related communications.
• Develop and maintain Development Operations documentation and standard processes.
• Drive fundraising analytics and reporting using Salesforce and other data sources.
• Support pipeline and moves management for leadership, maintaining actionable prospect and donor information.
• Grow and strengthen OppNet’s individual donor base with focus on acquisition and retention.
• Lead volunteer engagement program with a calendar of opportunities and data management in Salesforce.
• Plan and execute volunteer opportunities, recruitment, preparation, execution and follow-up.
• Participate in organization-wide learning sessions, weekly meetings and institution-wide events.
