Job summary

American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) is seeking a Manager, Development/Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising initiatives, donor solicitation and proposal development. This role emphasizes growing individual giving and managing day-to-day foundation operations within a collaborative, fast-paced team.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in fundraising or sales, strong donor stewardship and writing skills, and experience with moves management, events, and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of fundraising or sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate the Foundation's programs with donor priorities.
• Strong relationship management and ability to handle confidential information.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow annual fund through targeted strategies including appeal writing and donor stewardship.
• Support the VP, Development with research and institutional donor prospecting.
• Plan and execute signature fundraising events and donor communications.
• Prepare and submit proposals, stewardship and grant reports to donors and foundations.
