Job summary

The American Heart Association in Delaware is seeking a Development Director to lead revenue generation for the Heart Ball fundraising campaign. You will solicit gifts from individuals and corporations, recruit executive volunteers, and oversee event activities including the Heart Ball Gala.

This hybrid role involves frequent local travel and coordination with the Newark, DE office. Base salary plus an incentive of up to 25% of base pay, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 75% and some overnight trips; requires reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors and conduct proposals.
• Recruit and oversee executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
