Job summary

CASA of Los Angeles in Monterey Park, CA, seeks a Development and Communications Coordinator to support the Development team and drive marketing and donor communications. The role combines administrative duties, gift processing, and storytelling to elevate CASA's mission.

You will manage the donor database, produce monthly newsletters using Canva, contribute to social media, and assist with fundraising events, including the gala.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; one year of development, fundraising, gift processing, or event planning experience.
• Proficiency with donor databases and ability to master new software.
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality with donor data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gift processing and donor records with Bloomerang.
• Prepare reports for the Board, funders, and senior staff.
• Coordinate donor communications, acknowledgments, and thank you letters.
• Create fundraising materials and donor-facing content with Communications team.
• Plan, coordinate, and support fundraising events, including the annual gala.
• Maintain organized files for marketing assets and communications.
