The Utah Department of Health and Human Services seeks a part-time Dental Consultant to support Medicaid dental programs in Salt Lake City.

You will evaluate patient needs, review cases, and prepare dental treatment programs, while serving on Utah’s weekly Medicaid Medical Review Committee.

This hybrid, in-office/out-of-office role does not involve direct patient care and requires licensure to practice dentistry in Utah. Residency and background check are required.

Qualificações

• DDS or DMD degree with active Utah license to practice dentistry
• Demonstrated expertise in healthcare quality and population health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and use evidence-based practices to inform decision-making
• Commitment to improving health and well-being of Medicaid members in Utah

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patient needs and review cases to prepare dental treatment programs.
• Serve on Utah’s weekly Medicaid Medical Review Committee to review prior authorization decisions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and promote preventative services.
• Analyze data and utilize evidence-based practices to inform clinical decisions.
• Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in dental care.
• No direct patient care required.
