Placements24 is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst specializing in Demand Planning to join our client in East London, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on forecasting, inventory optimization, and aligning supply with demand.

Hybrid work arrangement is offered. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong data analytics, proficiency with demand planning software, and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems, enabling effective collaboration with sales and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, analytics or related field.
• Strong background in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends and promotions.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations to gather forecasting insights.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify root causes of deviations.
• Refine demand planning models to improve forecast accuracy.
• Manage inventory to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and stockouts.
• Analyze supply chain performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support S&OP with relevant data and insights.
• Prepare reports on forecasts, inventory levels and performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely replenishment.
