Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts for a wide range of products using statistical models and market intelligence.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to refine forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather insights and align on demand planning strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and provide recommendations to optimize stock, prevent stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
• Identify and analyze supply chain risks and opportunities related to demand fluctuations.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on demand forecasts, inventory status, and supply chain performance metrics for Welkom and national operations.
• Utilize advanced analytics tools and software to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process by providing accurate demand inputs.
• Continuously evaluate and improve forecasting models and processes.
• Communicate forecast changes and their implications to relevant stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis.
• Proven experience working effectively in a remote, home-based environment.
• Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of statistical forecasting techniques and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
• Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus.
• Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
