Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking a Demand and New Products Planning Analyst to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory readiness, and successful product launches. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Global Demand Planning to drive forecast accuracy and support S&OP/IBP initiatives in a hybrid Auburn, MA setting.

You’ll lead planning for Veterinary, Canada, Samples, and Rentals, influencing inventory strategies, and working with multiple stakeholders to optimize supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, sales, marketing, or related function.
• Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and Supply Chain principles.
• Advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain item-level demand forecasts using historical sales data, business trends, market insights, and cross-functional input.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Planning teams to drive forecast accuracy and support business objectives.
• Lead monthly planning meetings for Veterinary, Canada, Samples, and Rentals to ensure accurate and actionable demand plans.
• Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate demand planning efforts for new product introductions, promotions, product transitions, and lifecycle management initiatives.
• Analyze forecast performance, identify trends and exceptions, and perform root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop effective inventory sell-off strategies for products being replaced by new technologies, revisions, or product upgrades.
• Communicate forecast assumptions, demand changes, and purchasing recommendations to internal stakeholders and supplier partners.
