Job summary

Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the development and delivery of compliant, compelling proposals for U.S. Government and international defense opportunities.

The role manages the proposal process from opportunity assessment to final submission, coordinating cross-functional teams to craft winning strategies, accurate cost inputs, and fully compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, English, Engineering, Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• 7+ years of progressive proposal management, capture support, or related experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting
• Experience leading competitive, high-value U.S. Government proposals
• Understanding of the federal acquisition environment and proposal development practices
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams under deadlines
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly organized with focus on compliance, quality, and configuration control
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal efforts from kickoff through submission and lessons learned
• Analyze solicitations to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance obligations
• Collaborate with VP and cross-functional teams to develop cohesive responses
• Facilitate strategy sessions and align around customer requirements and win themes
• Coordinate cross-functional proposal teams and secure timely inputs from SMEs
• Coordinate proposal reviews with rigorous version control and submission readiness
• Ensure content is accurate, responsive, and tailored to customer requirements
• Advance proposal capability through process improvements and digital tools
• Maintain discretion regarding sensitive information
