Job summary

Distinct, a prominent national defense litigation firm, seeks a General Liability Associate Attorney in its Atlanta, GA office. The role offers hybrid work, growth opportunities, and a path to leadership within a nationally recognized firm.

You will handle defense matters, draft filings, and engage clients while working across multiple offices. The ideal candidate has a JD, GA bar admission, at least 1 year in defense litigation, and strong writing and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in Georgia
• Minimum of one year of defense litigation experience
• Background in general liability, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance matters preferred
• Experience with discovery, pretrial motions, and legal writing

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Manage a litigation caseload independently, from inception through resolution
• Communicate directly with clients and provide regular status updates
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice areas
