Best Buy is seeking a Data Scientist to apply advanced statistical and machine learning methods to large, enterprise-wide datasets. This hybrid role requires on-site work Monday–Thursday at the Richfield, MN campus with remote Fridays, and offers opportunities to influence marketing and customer insights across the business.

Ideal candidates have a quantitative degree and 2+ years in data science, ML model development, and SQL data handling, with strong communication to diverse audiences.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
• 2+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, data mining or similar.
• 2+ years of experience with data science/analytics programming languages (Python, R).
• 2+ years of experience implementing impactful ML models.
• 2+ years writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Experience presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Apply scientific methods to solve real-world business problems using data.
• Utilize ML methods to extract insights and deliver data-driven solutions for Marketing and Customer.
• Contribute to and enhance Best Buy's core data science capabilities.
• Mine large structured and unstructured data to glean actionable insights and recommendations.
• Communicate models and solutions clearly to business partners.
• Collaborate with stakeholder teams to deploy scalable solutions.
