Join National Grid’s Data, Analytics and Insights team to turn advanced analytics into real-world improvements for Massachusetts’ electricity system. This hybrid role is based out of Waltham, MA or Northborough, MA, supporting New England Electric Business initiatives with predictive modeling, forecasting, simulations, and data products like data requests and dashboards.

You will collaborate in a team focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable value for customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience applying data science techniques in a business context.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with ML methods and tools.
• Experience with relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytics, ML, and statistical methods to build predictive and prescriptive models, forecast, and run simulations.
• Lead small projects from conception to completion with multiple stakeholders.
• Develop data products including data requests and dashboards for the New England Electric Business.
