Job summary

National Grid in Massachusetts is seeking a Data Scientist within Data, Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics. This hybrid role can be based out of Waltham, MA or Northborough, MA, offering the chance to lead analytics initiatives across the organization.

You will apply advanced analytics, ML, and data science techniques to solve business challenges, deliver insights, and support reliable, affordable energy delivery for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years' experience applying data science techniques in a business environment.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, machine learning methods and tools, and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Employ analytics, ML, and statistical methods for predictive and prescriptive modelling, forecasting, and simulations.
• Lead small projects from conception to completion with multiple stakeholder teams.
• Assist with data products, dashboards, and data requests for the Electric Business.
• Assemble datasets across the EDM technology platform and automate data delivery.
