Job summary

Patlytics, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to own the data warehouse, pipelines, metering, and reporting that drive strategic decisions. This hands-on lead role combines backend architecture with team growth as you shape the data platform and billing models for the business.

You'll implement scalable data models, oversee ingestion and transformations, and partner with CTO to turn complex questions into reliable analytics, while maintaining data quality and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Must have production data warehouse experience and data transformation expertise.
• Hands-on Python and SQL with strong BI tool knowledge.
• Experience supporting billing data and understanding downstream impacts.
• Proven ability to move from ambiguity to concrete solutions.
• Prior leadership with a focus on technical direction over headcount.
• Product-minded to align data solutions with business questions.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, build, and operation of the data warehouse and transformation layer.
• Build and own ingestion pipelines and ensure reliability.
• Design data models for usage metering and billing.
• Stand up and maintain BI and reporting for leadership and GTM.
• Set data quality, testing, documentation, and monitoring standards.
• Collaborate with CTO to translate business questions into models.
