Job summary

US Foods is offering a Data Engineering internship for students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in CS, engineering, or information systems. You will design and build data pipelines, work with SQL/Python, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

The role is a full summer program (June–August), 40 hours per week, with a hybrid onsite/remote schedule. Sponsorship is not available for visa holders. Local housing support may be provided for some students.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
Must be enrolled in school during internship.
Typically juniors or early graduate students will be considered.
Proven ability to model data for reporting and analytics needs.
Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code.

Responsibilities

Design and build large scale datasets for a wide range of consumer needs.
Build, test and implement highly efficient data pipelines using various technologies.
Ensure consistent use of standard data structures.
Analyze new data sources to understand quality, availability and content.
Write technical design documentation.
Create and executes unit tests; supports QA during testing.
