Job summary

Early Warning seeks a Data Engineer to design and develop BI solutions across multiple tech stacks. You will translate metrics into clear insights, build datamarts, and deliver comprehensive dashboards to inform planning and performance.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers, contribute to ETL and data platform enhancements, and mentor interns while helping protect data integrity across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 2–4 years of PySpark/Python/Spark/Scala in a Linux environment for Data Engineering development.
• Knowledge of Tableau Server and Tableau Dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability with testing, problem solving and analysis.
• Experience with SQL, Spark, Hadoop or AWS/S3 for data ingestion and storage.
• Experience building data infrastructure in a regulated enterprise environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Define new and existing report/dashboard requirements with business users and identify data gaps.
• Design and develop backend data sources using Cloudera technology stack.
• Create complex Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and reports to support business processes and trends.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and reasoning based on available data.
• Design ETL processes to support production and ad-hoc analyses.
• Collaborate on best practices for data platforms and processes.
• Mentor interns and guide data scientists on software practices.
