Job summary

Navan is seeking a versatile Data Engineer to join the Travel Product org in a hybrid capacity. You will design analytics-ready data models, automate data pipelines, and deliver actionable insights to drive product strategy and operations.

You'll build dashboards in Thoughtspot, work with dbt and Snowflake, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations. The role emphasizes both hands-on data work and translating analytics into business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or analytics engineering in product/operational analytics contexts.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience building analytics pipelines, dashboards, and data quality/testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models, tables, and views in the analytics data warehouse (dbt/Snowflake) to support product/operational analytics.
• Develop and automate analytics-layer data pipelines with testing/monitoring for data quality.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions and metrics.
• Deliver analyses on large datasets to inform product and operations improvements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports in Thoughtspot to monitor KPIs and usage.
• Harmonize data across units and acquisitions with consistent data definitions.
• Collaborate with the in-house AI platform to support analytics/automation.
• Contribute to documentation and training for self-service data access.
• Identify opportunities to streamline analytics workflows in collaboration with the team.
• Primarily on-site 3-4 days per week as part of the Product Strategy and Analysis team.
