Purple Carrot is seeking an Analytics Engineer to strengthen data pipelines and the company’s analytics capabilities. You will join the Data team, report to the Sr.

Manager, Data and Analytics, and help build reliable, scalable data products across the organization. In this hybrid role based in Dedham, MA (and Chicago, IL considerations optional), you’ll translate business questions into robust data solutions, maintain pipelines, models, and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, CS, information systems, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Able to commute to Dedham, MA 3 days per week.
• Proficiency in SQL and dbt for data transformation, automation, and modeling.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data stack technologies (Git, Stitch, cloud data warehouses, etc.).
• Strong background in data quality, governance, and documentation practices.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools (Looker, Omni, etc.).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a senior team member.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure—from ingestion to analytics.
• Develop, test, and optimize data models and data warehouse architecture for performance and scalability.
• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and documentation.
• Uphold data governance standards, including dictionaries, lineage, and access controls.
• Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools to inform decisions.
• Support ad hoc analyses to answer business questions and identify trends.
• Create comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and definitions.
• Collaborate with the Senior Analytics Engineer and cross-functional partners.
