Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks an Evaluation and Impact Manager to lead office-wide evaluation for the Confluence Collaborative for Community Engagement. This hybrid role designs robust evaluation systems and translates data into actionable insights for program improvement across campus.

Responsibilities include guiding the Carnegie Classification self-study, coordinating with schools and partners, and producing reports and dashboards for leadership, funders, and external networks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education/experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in evaluation and impact.
• Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation frameworks, data collection, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage the office-wide assessment framework to guide data collection and use.
• Develop evaluation strategies using logic models and theories of change for programs.
• Lead full evaluation cycles from planning to reporting for priority programs.
• Translate findings into accessible reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and funders.
• Foster a culture of learning and data-informed practice among staff and stakeholders.
• Provide evaluation consultation and build capacity to embed assessment in program design.
• Track and report key performance indicators for community engagement activities.
• Co-lead the Carnegie Classification self-study, coordinating data collection and documentation.
• Craft narratives for the application using data and stories collected via data collection processes.
