Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Cybersecurity Senior Specialist to monitor security events, triage incidents, and support investigations across multiple platforms. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, drive improvements in detection logic, and communicate findings to leadership.

This hybrid role is based in Rosemead, CA, with up to 5% travel. You should have 5+ years in IT/security, SOC/IR experience, and the ability to translate technical concepts for executives.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in information technology, information security and/or cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in Security Operations Centers and/or Incident Response teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events, alerts, and telemetry across multiple security platforms to identify threats and incidents.
• Perform alert triage, investigation, and analysis to determine scope, severity, and impact of events.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support investigations and remediation efforts.
• Improve detection logic, playbooks, and procedures by identifying gaps and enhancements.
• Prepare and communicate investigation findings and incident summaries to leadership.
