Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group in Bethesda, MD, seeks a seasoned Cybersecurity Program Manager to lead governance, reporting, and strategic initiatives for government cybersecurity programs. Hybrid work requires 2–3 days on-site in Bethesda, with responsibilities including interfacing with CIT COR and CISO and delivering program-level reports.

The role requires 5+ years in managing cybersecurity and IT programs, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and PMP/CISSP/ITIL certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing cybersecurity, IT security, RMF, or enterprise IT programs.
• Experience with enterprise IT systems, cloud environments, and network security; leading teams of IT/cybersecurity consultants; managing project schedules, risks, and deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in cybersecurity, information assurance, information systems, computer science, computer engineering, network engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• PMP, CISSP, and ITIL certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface with the CIT COR and CISO, providing program-level reporting and invoicing.
• Lead Cybersecurity Governance activities: coordinate meetings, track action items, capture risks, and maintain a lessons-learned repository.
• Support OCIO working groups and represent contractor team in cross-agency cybersecurity coordination.
• Monitor ISP Strategic Plan and contribute to quarterly recommendations to CIT leadership.
• Own Program Support tasks including Strategic Initiatives and administration of the ISP SharePoint site.
• Manage Special Projects and coordinate surge labor staffing as directed by Government.
• Supervise contract personnel: assignments, performance, payroll, and leave.
