Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group is seeking a senior IT security program manager in Bethesda, MD for a hybrid role requiring 5+ years of cybersecurity program leadership. You will interface with CIT COR and CISO, manage governance activities, and drive strategic planning with cross-agency coordination.

The role focuses on program reporting, risk tracking, and SLA governance, with accountability for overseeing contract personnel and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years managing cybersecurity/IT programs across enterprise IT environments.
• Experience leading teams of IT/cybersecurity consultants and managing project schedules, risks, actions, deliverables, and customer communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, information systems, computer science, or related discipline.
• PMP, CISSP, ITIL certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary interface with the CIT COR and CISO, providing program-level reporting (Weekly Program Report, Weekly Resource Utilization and Milestone Report, Monthly Program Report, and invoicing).
• Lead Cybersecurity Governance activities: coordinate, schedule, facilitate weekly meetings, develop agendas, track action items, capture risks, build project schedules, maintain lessons learned repository.
• Support OCIO working groups and represent the contractor team in cross-agency cybersecurity coordination.
• Provide Strategic Support: monitor performance against the ISP Strategic Plan, contribute to the Annual ISP Strategic Plan, and deliver quarterly recommendations to CIT leadership.
• Own Program Support tasks including Strategic Initiatives Support and administration of the ISP SharePoint site (content lifecycle, access/permissions management, organizing by subject matter/audience).
• Manage Special Projects/Optional Tasks and coordinate surge labor staffing as directed by the Government.
• Supervise contract personnel directly — day-to-day work assignments, performance monitoring, coverage, payroll records, and leave approval.
• Manage Standard Operating Procedures and Enterprise Templates, and ensure all Task Area 1 deliverables meet quality standards, correcting non-conforming deliverables.
• Propose and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) governing cybersecurity support services, subject to Government review/approval.
