Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group seeks a senior cybersecurity leader in the Washington, DC metro area. The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days on-site in Alexandria, VA, and the first 30 days full-time on-site to ramp up.

The position offers a salary range of $170,000–$190,000 per year, requires US citizenship, and 8–10 years of cybersecurity experience including SOC leadership. Eligible for bonus, profit sharing, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of cybersecurity and security operations experience.
• 5+ years directing SOC activities and managing security operations personnel.
• Experience overseeing threat detection, incident escalation, and enterprise security monitoring.
• Experience coordinating security operations across enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and security operations to strengthen enterprise security posture.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain security products and services across the organization.
• Provide security engineering SME support for enterprise architecture, IT operations, and applications.
• Design and optimize enterprise security solutions for visibility, detection, and resilience.
• Ensure SDLC incorporates cybersecurity architecture and engineering requirements.
