Job summary

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco is seeking a Fixed-Term Curatorial Project Coordinator for the Prints & Drawings department (Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts). The role supports curatorial staff with collections records, research for exhibitions and publications, loans, and daily operations under the Curator-in-Charge.

This 1-year position (Nov 2026–Nov 2027) offers a hybrid schedule (at least 4 days on-site) with a union-pay scale from $28.73 to $38.50 per hour and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Education: BA in art history required; art history knowledge of graphic arts preferred.
• Master’s degree in Art History is preferred.
• Experience in curatorial or museum research is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the Prints and Drawings Department.
• Support loans, research for exhibitions and publications, and related inquiries.
• Maintain documentation of acquisitions and the collection with TMS knowledge preferred.
• Coordinate with the Achenbach Graphic Arts Council and assist in meetings.
