Job summary

Under the supervision of the Curator-in-Charge, the Curatorial Project Coordinator supports day-to-day operations of the Prints and Drawings Department at the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts. This role assists with collections records, research for exhibitions, loans, and general inquiries.

This is a 1-year fixed-term position (Nov 2026–Nov 2027) with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite). The pay scale ranges from $28.73 to $38.50 per hour, with union benefits and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in art history required; graphic arts knowledge.
• 2+ years of curatorial or museum research experience.
• Familiarity with museum operations and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in day-to-day administrative operations of the department and loans handling.
• Assists in preparation of exhibition research and related educational materials.
• Coordinates appointments and hosts classes/groups in collaboration with the curatorial team.
• Manages documentation with Registration Department and uses museum systems for records.
• Tracks progress of technician, conservation, publications, and photo requests; handles purchase orders.
• Provides administrative support for the Achenbach curatorial group and assists with board meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
