Job summary

Daily Harvest is seeking a Culinary R&D Recipe Developer in Lower Manhattan with a strong background in recipe development and product innovation. The role centers on supporting cross-functional teams to bring new concepts from idea to execution at scale, spending much of the week in our test kitchen crafting and adjusting recipes.

You will work closely with Operations, Marketing, Nutrition & Regulatory, and Retail teams to optimize flavor, texture, nutrition, and cost while maintaining

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or BS in a related field is required.
• 5+ years in the food industry in recipe or new product development preferred.
• Experience with consumer packaged goods and working with third-party manufacturers is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recipe development for net-new innovation and line extensions.
• Maintain a clean, organized test kitchen and ensure proper stock of ingredients and tools.
• Work on recipe optimizations to drive production costs and flavor and nutritional quality.
• Coordinate tastings, product cuttings, and evaluations; document feedback.
• Support packaging, labeling reviews for content accuracy and typos.
• Ship and receive ingredients and samples; track attributes and quality.
• Gather cross-functional data to identify optimization opportunities and next steps.
