Job summary

First Citizens Innovation Bank seeks a Cryptocurrency Enhanced Due Diligence Associate to lead crypto AML reviews and ensure regulatory compliance for commercial clients. You will mentor associates, document findings, and collaborate with Compliance and Internal Audit to address examinations.

The role requires staying current on crypto developments, influencing process improvements, and delivering clear risk-based recommendations across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years EDD experience in Fintech, Banking, KYC, Risk Management or HS diploma with 8+ years experience.
• ACAMS, CCAS, or CFE certifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AML/BSA/CFIUS, regulatory expectations and crypto risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead EDD reviews for crypto-related clients, assessing AML risk and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as SME on crypto reviews and act as primary point of contact for Commercial Bank Relationships.
• Document findings, decisions, and supporting materials per internal policies.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to automate compliance processes.
• Educate and train stakeholders on EDD policies and best practices.
