First Citizens Bank is seeking a Cryptocurrency Enhanced Due Diligence Associate to lead EDD reviews for crypto clients, ensuring AML/KYC compliance and regulatory adherence. The role requires deep cryptocurrency policy knowledge and collaboration with Compliance, Internal Audit, and risk teams.

The position blends hands-on reviews with mentoring, coaching peers, and developing improved risk controls. Hybrid work is available in selected U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; relevant fintech/banking/compliance experience preferred.
• ACAMS/CCAS or similar certification desirable.
• Experience with KYC/AML risk in crypto-related contexts is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on clients in the crypto ecosystem to ensure regulatory compliance and robust KYC.
• Serve as SME for crypto-related EDD, partnering with Compliance and Internal Audit to respond to examinations and implement actions.
• Identify and communicate high-risk indicators, and help improve processes and controls within the EDD framework.
• Develop risk tolerance metrics and provide ongoing reporting on high-risk sector activity to senior management.
