Job summary

SECU is seeking a Credit Reporting Specialist to work with seasoned specialists on FCRA- and Metro 2–driven dispute investigations. You will validate data, respond to disputes, and provide excellent member service while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes training in credit reporting standards, delivering timely resolutions, and collaborating with staff across departments in a hybrid Raleigh-area work environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 0–2 years credit reporting experience
• Able to meet stringent deadlines
• Ability to locate regulatory information and SECU policies
• Willingness to ongoing training
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Team collaboration
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Data entry proficiency

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to direct and indirect consumer credit disputes under FCRA and Metro 2 rules
• Validate credit reporting data and process corrections to improve member experience
• Communicate status with members and staff on disputes
• Complete training on credit reporting basics and regulations
• Complete required learning modules
