Job summary

York Design Group is seeking a Studio Designer to join the WallPops design team, creating DIY décor products and executing original artwork for production. The role involves collaborating with design and product teams to bring products to market and exploring licensing opportunities.

You will partner with internal teams to update SKUs, room sets, and packaging, while contributing to trend forecasting and ensuring design quality across materials and prints.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience in graphics or surface design.
• BA in Graphics or surface design.
• Experience in home décor or passion for home products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to create new DIY products.
• Manipulate purchased artwork to develop DIY products (peel and stick wallpaper, decals, floor tile, backsplash).
• Work with external teams to collaborate on exclusive product lines reflecting all brands.
• Submit licensed decals through licensing process from concept to print.
• Contribute to trend research and forecasting across categories.
• Modify final projects to be compatible with printing companies.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure product quality and fit.
• Assist with product designs or programs in the studio workflow.
• Support creation of samples and mock-ups for review.
• Update storyboards and room set imagery for upcoming launches.
• Set up/update SKUs, room sets and packaging with internal teams.
• Develop products and presentations for national accounts meetings.
