You will oversee litigation, supervise outside counsel, and prepare memoranda on complex claims topics while collaborating with in-house teams. JD and active license required, with insurance defense or regulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active license to practice in at least one state.
• Insurance defense, litigation, regulatory compliance, or administrative law experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with above-average multi-tasking and quick transition ability.
• Critical and analytical thinking for reviewing complex claims issues.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the motor carrier policy, providing counsel and training to claims departments to ensure consistent practices.
• Prepare coverage opinions and memoranda on claims topics.
• Oversee litigation and declaratory judgments while supervising outside counsel.
