Job summary

Alpek Polyester USA, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead inventory costing, standard costs, and product structures, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will perform variance analysis, manage month-end close, coordinate with IT for ERP issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 10% domestically and 2.5% internationally in a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or closely related field and five years' experience in cost accounting or related roles.
• Two years of supervisory experience in cost accounting or related function.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP principles and ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis; able to prepare presentations and memos.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs and product structures; analyze inventory variances.
• Perform variance analysis for raw materials and finished goods.
• Oversee month-end manufacturing closing and reporting to management.
• Calculate main raw material prices, adjustments, and accruals.
• Coordinate with IT on production, purchasing, and ERP issues.
• Support internal audit and coordination with external auditors; conduct physical counts.
• Travel domestic 10%, international 2.5%.
• Hybrid schedule: in-office 3 days a week.
