Job summary

Ardent Mills seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to own inventory accounting, valuation, and commodity/manufacturing accounting across assigned operations. You will mentor the Cost Accounting team, drive control improvements, and partner with Operations, FP&A, and Finance leadership to translate financial results into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; CPA preferred; CMA considered for manufacturing leadership.
• 8+ years in accounting with emphasis on inventory, manufacturing and cost reporting; ERP experience required.
• Experience leading and developing a cost accounting team and partnering with Operations and FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting, valuation, weigh-ups, and commodity/manufacturing accounting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close related to inventory and balance sheet accounts.
• Identify risks, implement remediation, and drive process improvements and standardization.
• Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, and Finance leadership; communicate actionable financial narratives.
• Champion automation, self-service analytics, and AI-enabled data quality improvements.
